10th Harrogate Rainbows and Guides hold Refreshment day to raise funds for Birk Crag Centre
Following lots of planning, shopping, preparation and baking, Saturday morning arrived! Cars unloaded, kitchen set up, girls ready to help, serve and clear away – our Refreshment day to raise funds for Birk Crag Centre was underway!
Our girls were amazing, with some Guides helping adults in the kitchen and serving whilst Rainbows with some very helpful parents and supporters collected payments and donations along with clearing the tables and helping everyone. The girls had opportunities to try new things with lots of help, for some it was the first time they’d used a calculator, sold things, cleared and cleaned tables, served teas, coffees and cakes, fun was had and we are very grateful to everyone who came along to the Refreshment day and supported us by helping to raise funds – thank you. We are delighted to say that together with some subsequent donations we raised £1,000 and thank everyone for their help, support and donations.
