Silly-a-thon Challenge raising funds for Birk Crag March 2025

Girls were asked to challenge their leaders to do Silly (but safe) things!  As expected, there was a range of challenges including our very own County Commissioner, Carly, who was challenged to go on stage during their local Pantomime performance in Gargrave, of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and perform a lullaby song to encourage the ‘baby’ to go to sleep – we’re not sure the ‘baby’ fell asleep, but there was a lot of fun and funds raised – thank you Carly.

Sam, the Harrogate North Commissioner and her leaders at Saltergate Rainbows and Brownies were challenged to dress up as well-known characters for their meeting and Caroline together with leaders from Ripon Guides were challenged to be dressed and made up by their Guides, then everyone walk to the Ripon Square where they held a Promise Ceremony for girls with their unit.

All our wonderful leaders who took up the challenges raised funds towards the re-building of Birk Crag Centre and had a lot of fun!  Thank you to everyone who took part.
